Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia is part of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat Ethiopia started work in 1993 with the aim of assisting low-income and vulnerable families to move out of substandard housing. Habitat Ethiopia has been able to diversify its areas of interventions to help families in 19 communities across the country.  Completed Projects-2017/2018

 
   Urban Slum Upgrading Project: USU-Addis Abeba

   113 families (565 individuals) moved to new homes.

   266 families (1,330 individuals) get access to improved sanitation facilities. 

 

   WASH Project-Addis Abeba

    140 families (700 individuals) were assisted to have improved sanitation(toilets).  

    1957 students started to use new toilets.                             

 
  Vulnerable Group Housing and WASH Project-Oromiya Region                       

    4,760 families have been assisted through enhancing solid waste management capacity.

 
   Disaster Risk Reduction and Response(DR3) Project-Southern Region

    More 31,000 families get access to safe water and trained in Hygiene and sanitation.

   
  Family self-help

    Hundreds of families have been assisted to get land and started construction.

   Strategic plan

   A thereyear Strategic Plan is being implemented.
