Our work in FY21 (July 2020-June 2021)

 Urban Slum Upgrading Project: Addis Abeba

 1,900 families (9.500 individuals) have been served through housing, communal toilets, drainage and access to safe water.                   

Regional Vulnerable Group Housing and WASH Project-Amhara and Oromiya Region   

In the two regions, 17 families moved to new house and 43 families got access to safe water. About 680 individuals attended hygiene and sanitation training.

 Disaster Risk Reduction and Response WASH Resilience Building Project-Oromia Region

    To increase access to safe water, reservoirs with 200 cubic meter and 100 cubic meter constructed; 25 km  pipelines installed,  20 water points and 10 communal toilets constructed. Through this project than 4,300 households (21,500 individuals) get access to clean water and more families will be served when the project is completed. About 160 households (800 individuals) started to use improved sanitation facilities.

   COVID-19 Emergency Response

About 1,140 families (5,500 individuals) received food items (flour and edible oil), soap and face masks. More than 3,600 individuals attended hygiene and sanitation awareness raising training which also included information on protection of COVID-19.

  New opportunities and initiatives 

  A number of proposals has been submitted to partners, preparation is made to start new projects and activities are being implemented to enhance National Office capacity and realign systems with the growing scope of the organization.
